U2 play free gig in NY
On Monday night U2 have made a surpise appearance in New York City. The band has made a brief TV taping at The Empire, Fulton Ferry State Park on the east side of the East River, just north of Brooklyn Bridge.
The event was part of a TV shoot. No tickets were required and everyone who was at The Empire before 3 pm was admitted to the event.
Meanwhile, Monday saw the release of U2's 13th album in 25 years, "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb". The Rock Radio is already playing tracks from the new album.
