1.Guaranteed access to our near CD quality (128k) stream from home or work even when the public servers are full.

2. View information and lyrics about all the songs in our playlist/database including the currently playing and recently played songs.

3. Online requests in real time from our playlist and searchable database of over 4,000 rock songs and well over 150 artists including Aerosmith, Queen, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, The Doors, Nirvana, Scorpions, The Who, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Deep Purple, REM, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Kiss, Velvet Revolver, Status Quo, U2, The Ramones, Dire Straits, Iron Maiden, The Eagles, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne and many more.

Questions and answers

How many songs can I request once I get a Backstage Pass?
You may request up to 24 songs per day (1 every hour). If the requested artist or song was recently played, your request will not be accepted but you will have the option of making a different request. All requests are made online through your browser.

Can I request songs that are not in the database?
The online databse consists of more than 4,000 songs. If a song is not in the database, you may suggest it for addition. Although we cannot promise to add everything you suggest, we certainly will consider everything.

How much does a backstage pass cost?
$2.95 US per month or the equivalent in any other major currency (EUR, CAD, GBP, JPY, AUD).

How can I pay?
By PayPal via a secure and encrypted page.

Do you accept cash or cheques?
At the moment we only accept payment via PayPal.

Do you offer a free trial?
Yes we do. Everyone gets a free 3-day trial by default. Just click on the button below to subscribe via PayPal. Once you do, your account will be set up by us and the password along with simple instructions will be emailed to you within 24 hours. After that you'll have 3 days to evaluate the service. If you are happy with it, the paid subcription automatically takes effect after the 3-day evaluation and renews every month so you don't have to worry about it.

How can I cancel my "Backstage Pass" account?
Either by logging in to the PayPal website at www.paypal.com or directly by clicking the button below.



Will you charge me $2.95 if I cancel before the end of the trial period?
No. If you cancel before the 3-day trial period expires, you will not be charged.

Can I share my Backstage Pass password with a colleague, friend or anyone else?
No. Each Backstage Pass is issued for a single person. Anyone who is found to violate this clause will have his/her account suspended without further warning.

Where does the subscription money go?
Everything goes back into the station; for maintenance, running costs or improvement. This is a not-for-profit project that has grown beyond expectation and hence the running costs are now extremely high. We currently rock more than 250.000 eardrums every month. Each and every eardrum requires bandwidth to get rocked. Otherwise it's silence.

Is there a chance of getting a FREE Backstage Pass?
Yes. Every month we will select 2 forum members who will receive a free Backstage Pass for a month. Selection is based on quality and number of posts during the previous month.
Each month we will also be giving 2 Backstage Passes to webmasters who link to The Rock Radio. Selection is based on the number of unique visitors from your website to The Rock Radio during the previous month. More details for webmasters here.
