The King at No1 again

Elvis Presley is number one again in the UK 27 years after his death with his iconic hit Jailhouse Rock.

The rock and roll standard, a UK chart-topper in 1958, was reissued to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Presley's birth and is his 19th UK number one.

It was the title song of Presley's third film Jailhouse Rock in which he played an ex-convict who becomes a teenage rock star.

Another notable anniversary reissue in the UK is the 1982 classic The Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden. It was released this week to mark 25 years since Iron Maiden's formation and entered the charts at No3.
