46664 concert raises AIDS awareness

The Nelson Mandela Foundation -known as 46664 which was Nelson Mandela's prison number- has reached the target of raising R10 million for the fight against HIV/AIDS following the second 46664 concert at Fancourt in George, South Africa on Saturday night.

Workers now have the task of breaking down the set that dazzled thousands of fans on Saturday night. Among those who entertained the crowd were Will Smith, Brian May and Roger Talyor + Paul Rodgers, Mafikizolo, Mandoza, Katie Melua and Annie Lennox.

The concert was televised accross Africa and webcasted live accross the world.

All of the international stars have pledged to keep the spotlight in the global arena on the issue of HIV/AIDS.
