Ozzy Osbourne box set released
Ozzy Osbourne celebrated the release of his new 4-CD boxed set, Prince of Darkness, with an appearance at Tower Records in New York City last Tuesday. The boxed set includes a disc featuring cover versions of many of his favorite songs. Ozzy said at the event that his wife Sharon had chosen a few of the songs, and he "Ozzy-fied" them.The 4 discs include demos, B-sides, and live tracks plus a full CD of previously unreleased, newly recorded covers of songs he loved as a youth. Ozzy performs the Beatles' In My Life, John Lennon's Working Class Hero, the Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil Mott the Hoople's All the Young Dudes (with Ian Hunter on vocals). The guitarist on most of the sessions is Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.
