Rolling Stones to record new album

Rolling Stones frontmen Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are currently stationed in France, writing songs for the forthcoming album from the Stones.

Writing for the newest Stones album began in 2004, with Mick, Keith, and a recently cleared Charlie Watts writing songs in Paris along with producer Don Was to help them along the way. Was said in 2004 the the writing was going well with Jagger and Richards doing most of the writing themselves, playing various instruments on what Was claims to be good songs. Was continued to say that the Glimmer Twins were doing better than ever.

No word has been released as to if the world will see the release of a new addition in 2005 to the already huge studio album catalog of the Stones.

The last Stones studio album was Bridges To Babylon in 1997. The last new music from the band was a few songs included in the Forty Licks compilation.
