Classic Rockers make the rich list
Last Sunday, the British Sunday Times newspaper published the 2005 rich list and, as last year, a number of rock stars made it to the list.Notable high entries included Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones with $350m, Eric Clapton with $250m, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd with $140m as well as Robert Plant and Brian May.
The Sunday Times said its list was based on identifiable wealth based on land, property, shares and other assets, but excluding bank accounts. The newspaper aknowledges that the actual size of the fortunes of the rich may be much larger.
