Neil Young treated for brain aneurysm

Neil Young, the Canadian legend widely known for his classic track "(Keep On Rocking) In The Free World", has cancelled a live TV appearance at Winnipeg because of brain surgery.

Young, now aged 59, was reportedly admitted to hospital in New York after having visual disturbances and suffering other symptoms suggestive of a brain aneurysm. He subsequently had investigations that confirmed the diagnosis and underwent surgery.

An aneurysm is an abnormal widening of the blood vessels and can be fatal if left untreated. According to medical reports, Neil Yound will be able to resume normal activities in the near future.
