Roger Waters completes opera

Rolling Stone magazine reports that Roger Waters, the co-founder and primary songwriter of legendary Pink Floyd, has completed Ca Ira, his long-awaited opera. His work, which has been 10 years in the making, is expected to hit record stores at the end of 2005.

Waters is considering staging "Ca Ira" as a concert performance in Rome, Italy this November with a full symphony orchestra, as well as adult and children's choruses. "I might conduct it," he said to Rolling Stone. "Wouldn't that be a buzz? Of course, I might need a few beta blockers (pills that slow the rhythm of the heart) before going on."
