Audioslave top US charts
Audioslave's album "Out of Exile" is at the number one spot in the Billboard charts this week. It was released on May 24 and in its first week sold more than 263,000 copies beating out System of a Down's "Mezmerize", which fell to number two. Audioslave, lined up by former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, Tim C. and Brad Wilk made history on May 6, 2005 as the first American group to perform in Cuba amongst 60,000 fans, the largest crowd to attend a concert by an American band in the communist country.
Morello spoke out on their new reign as kings of the billboard charts saying, "We've made an album we're really proud of and having the number one record in the country is amazing. Do not doubt it: out fans rule."
Audioslave are currently touring Europe.
