Back In Black: 21m copies sold

"Back In Black", the first AC/DC album to be recorded after Bon Scott's death, has sold 21 million copies in the US alone according to official figures released today.

AC/DC's "Back In Black" is the 5th biggest selling album ever in the US. The leader of the list remains The Eagles' "Their Greatest Hits", at 29 million. In second is Michael Jackson's "Thriller" which reached 27 million in an April RIAA accounting, followed by Pink Floyd's "The Wall" with 23 million. Led Zeppelin are fourth on the list having sold 22 million copies with "Led Zeppelin IV".
