Joe Perry intoduces Aero-sauce

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry will step out from behind his guitar to hawk his signature hot sauce line in New York City next month. Perry will attend the Fancy Foods Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, where he'll promote his Joe Perry Rock Your World condiments. He'll join the rest of the Rock Your World crew at the event, where both his "Rock Your World Boneyard Brew" and "Rock Your World Mango-Peach Tango" sauces are up for awards. The Fancy Foods Show runs from July 10 to the 12th.

Perry told us that he would have walked away from the hot sauce business if it wasn't for his son Aaron:

And my, my oldest son, Aaron, said, 'I'd really like to take over. This is something I could really get into.' And so far, it's been fantastic. He, he's really moved it up to the next level, where it's turning into a real business that I'm not having to write checks out to support."

Perry and his Aerosmith bandmates will end their year-long hiatus this autumn with a tour and a live album.
