Ramones box-set coming in August
A multi-disc package that surveys the career of the Ramones will be released on August 16, 2005. It's called "Weird Tales Of The Ramones", and the box set has 85 songs across three CDs, along with a DVD called Lifestyles Of The Ramones with all their music videos and some interview and other material. Weird Tales also comes with a comic book-style booklet featuring the work of 25 top artists in the comic book and graphic novel field. It includes comic-style ads for things like Ramones wigs, rubber masks, and "Sea Markys," along with a 3-D comic and glasses.Weird Tales Of The Ramones should finally prove just how important the Ramones were in rock history, which is something that founder and original drummer Tommy Ramone told us isn't always appreciated:
