Courtney Love admitted to hospital

Courtney Love was rushed to a hospital Wednesday night (July 20th) after feeling faint at a party in Los Angeles. The 41-year-old former wife of Nirvana fronman Kurt Cobain was attending an event at the landmark Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel when she felt ill, according to her publicist Jill Fritzo. "She was at a party, felt faint, went out for air, a friend called an ambulance for precaution, they took her to the hospital and she was released immediately," Fritzo said.

Love is currently enrolled in a court-ordered drug treatment program. Her attorney Michael Rosenstein says the singer is making "fantastic" progress with her treatment and has passed a number of drug tests since March. "As far as I know, she's doing well in her program, continuing forward in her treatment and has tested negative for drugs," Rosenstein told Reuters.
