"I can see Jim Morrison"
Sunday (July 3rd) marked the 34th anniversary of the death of The Doors lead singer Jim Morrison. The legendary frontman died in 1971 of heart failure brought on by heavy drinking. His girlfriend, Pamela Courson, found the 27-year-old singer dead in their Paris apartment's bathtub, and tonight (July 5, 2005), the paranormal series, Dead Famous: Ghostly Encounters, investigates whether or not the rocker really did "break on through to the other side."The program searches for Morrison's presence in some of his old Los Angeles haunts, like the hotel room where he lived for two years, and the house where he lived with his girlfriend. In this clip from the show, host Gail Porter outlines where she'll look for the Lizard King's spirit:

Lead singer Jim Morrison immortalized the city with the song 'LA Woman.' But does his ghost linger along with his lyrics? Our researcher spirit would see us investigate possible photographic evidence of the paranormal; look for two places where he lived for proof that he is still present; and visit one of the most haunted houses in America."Dead Famous also chats with Doors fan Brett Meisner, who swears he can see Morrison's ghost in a picture taken at Morrison's Paris grave:

It is the image of a man who appears to be wearing pants, perhaps leather pants. It surprised me. You know, I got goose bumps when I really, when it sank in as to what I was looking at." Dead Famous: Ghostly Encounters airs July 5, 2005 at 10pm ET in America on the Biography Channel.
