Keith Richards to play Depp's father

A published report out of the UK says Keith Richards will play Johnny Depp's father in at least one of the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels. Depp has said that his Pirates character Jack Sparrow is patterned after Richards, and that he wants the Rolling Stones guitarist to play Sparrow's dad. Now, actor Bill Nighy, who's in the sequel Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, told contactmusic.com, "I can confirm, Keith Richards will appear in Pirates Of The Caribbean 2 or 3. I'm not sure which one, because they are being filmed back-to-back."

There's been no official confirmation from the Stones, but if it's true, it will likely have to happen soon, because they're getting ready for a year-long world tour which starts August 21st in Boston.

The two Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels are currently in production.
