Led Zeppelin in "ideal supergroup"

The members of Led Zeppelin have each been chosen to form the greatest supergroup of all time. About 3,500 listeners of the UK's Planet Rock Radio voted for the best singer, guitarist, bassist, and drummer in rock history, and Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham each won their respective categories, reports the BBC. The point of the survey was to determine who Planrt Rock radio listeners would pick for the "ideal supergroup," and the fantasy band turned out to be Led Zeppelin.

The top three vote-getters in each category were:

Best singer:
Robert Plant
Freddie Mercury (Queen)
Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company, the Firm, Queen + Paul Rodgers)

Best guitarist:
Jimmy Page
Slash (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver)
Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple, Rainbow)

Best bassist:
John Paul Jones
John Entwistle (The Who)
Chris Squire (Yes)

Best drummer:
John Bonham
Neil Peart (Rush)
Keith Moon (The Who)
