Mark Knopfler's live shows online

Mark Knopfler has put live recordings from his current world tour online. He's partnered with a new service called Crowfly Live to sell full concerts via download through the official mark-knopfler.com website.

Several shows are available now, and more will be added as the tour progresses. To give people a taste of what's available, a free download of the Dire Straits hit "Money For Nothing" from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 29th is now available. He said, "I have never objected to fans recording performances for themselves. However, with this new technology, we are in a position to make available to our audiences something of the highest quality they can keep as a lasting souvenir of the night."

Knopfler performed at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago on Friday, July 15th.
