Ozzy Osbourne working on musical
Ozzy Osbourne will take a bit of homework out with him on this year's OzzFest tour. The Black Sabbath frontman is working on a musical about controversial Russian monk Grigory Rasputin with songwriter Mark Hudson, who's collaborated with Aerosmith and Ringo Starr. Osbourne told us that the project began 10 years ago with a song he and Hudson wrote for his Ozzmosis album: [

We wrote a bunch of songs together, and I put this tape on and thought, 'You know what? That would be a great musical.' It kind of grew on its own." Ozzy and Hudson are working on songs now and looking for someone to help script the musical. Osbourne said that he's received interest in the project from producers considering everything from Broadway to a touring show.
Ozzy will perform with Black Sabbath at this year's OzzFest, which begins Friday (July 15, 2005) in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
