Pink Floyd performances compiled
A pair of early Pink Floyd performances have been reissued as London 1966-1967. The 17-minute version of "Interstellar Overdrive" and the 12-minute improvisation, "Nick's Boogie," were recorded on January 11th and 12th for movie director Peter Whitehead, who used them for films such as Tonite Let's Make Love In London. The songs were recorded at the same time as demo versions of "Arnold Layne" and "Candy And A Currant Bun," which landed the group its contract with EMI Records. The music has been previously released in many forms, including soundtracks and Pink Floyd's own compilations.London 1966-1967 includes bonus video content, including footage from a 1966 performance at London's UFO Club and unrelated interviews with Mick Jagger and actor Lee Marvin.
The London 1966-1967 songs were recorded by the original lineup of Pink Floyd, fronted by Syd Barrett and prior to David Gilmour joining the band.
