Queen announce 2 US dates, CD / DVD

Queen + Paul Rodgers have announced two US shows for the autumn, as well as their live CD and DVD. They'll play the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on October 16th, and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 22nd. Tickets for the New Jersey show go on sale Saturday (July 30th), while Los Angeles goes live Sunday (July 31st). Following the Hollywood Bowl, Queen + Paul Rodgers head to Japan for a series of dates, with an extensive North American tour coming next year.

Rodgers and Queen will release the two-CD Return Of The Champions on September 13, with a DVD to follow on October 24. Both are from their May 9th show at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England, the same place they recorded the current double-A-sided single with "Reaching Out"/"Tie Your Mother Down" and "Fat Bottomed Girls." In addition to the performance, the DVD will also include highlights of the band's European tour, as well as rehearsal and backstage footage.
