Slash sued by former publicist
Guitarist Slash's former publicist, Arlett Vereecke, who was repping the Velvet Revolver axeman until this year, has sued her former client, claiming he stiffed her out of tens of thousands of dollars. Vereecke told the TV show Celebrity Justice that Slash's wife, Perla Hudson, is "on a power trip," causing the rift between the former Guns N' Roses guitarist and his longtime publicist. Vereecke claims that she got lots of work for Slash, including a week-long co-hosting stint on the Jimmy Kimmel show, and a part in the short-lived cartoon Kid Notorious. There is no word on the exact amount of money the Los Angeles-based Vereecke is seeking. The independent publicist has no harsh words for the top-hat wearing guitar star, placing the blame on Slash's wife for tossing her aside like a "third wheel," saying, "(Perla) doesn't want Slash to be involved with anyone but her."
Velvet Revolver have a new song, "Come In, Come On," which is the first cut on the Fantastic Four soundtrack, which hit retail on July 5th. Alter Bridge and Sum 41 also have cuts on the album.
