U2 shoot Milan concert for DVD
U2 had the cameras out at their shows in Italy this week. The band shot their two nights at the San Siro outdoor stadium in Milan, using 17 cameras and a crew of 130 people. To oversee the action, U2 brought in director Hamish Hamilton, who did their Boston and Slane Castle DVDs, and who also shot one of their arena shows in Chicago back in May. It's unknown when the footage will be released on DVD, or whether the indoor and outdoor shows will be released separately.U2's world tour hits Rome on Saturday, July 23rd. After Europe, the third leg of the tour takes them to North America for another round of dates beginning September 12th in Toronto.
