Black Sabbath miss 3rd Ozzfest date
For the third time in a week, Black Sabbath was forced to back out of an appearance due to Ozzy Osbourne's health. The band was an early scratch from yesterday's (Tuesday, August 2nd) OzzFest tour stop at the Germain Amphitheatre in Columbus, Ohio, which meant Iron Maiden once again did a full headlining set. Sabbath previously dropped off last Wednesday's (July 27th) date in Holmdel, New Jersey, and again on Sunday (July 31st) in Noblesville, Indiana. There's still no official explanation for what's got Ozzy on the sidelines. However, maybe it shouldn't be that much of a surprise that he's down, since - not long ago - he told us that he's not even supposed to be on the road:

And I said - and I, I, I did - I went against the doctor's orders, you know?" In December 2003, Osbourne crashed while riding a four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle on the grounds of his estate in Buckinghamshire, England. The accident left him with a broken collarbone, eight broken ribs, and a broken vertebra in his neck, as well as some internal bleeding, and he was in a coma for a week and on a ventilator for some time afterwards. Ozzy actually flat-lined once or twice after the wreck.
