David Bowie to perform in NY

Although he said he wasn't performing this year, David Bowie has got one show on his schedule. He'll take part in the upcoming Fashion Rocks event at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on October 8, 2005. There's no word on what Bowie will sing, but since he hates repeating himself, it's worth noting that he did his song "Fashion" at the first-ever Fashion Rocks show at the Royal Albert Hall in London back in 2003.

Other artists who've signed on for the event include Billy Idol, Destiny's Child, Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas, Duran Duran, R&B singer-pianist Alicia Keys, No Doubt leader Gwen Stefani, and country star Tim McGraw.
