Jagger talks about the Rolling Stones tour and new album

The Rolling Stones are promoting a full album's worth of new songs on their just-launched A Bigger Bang tour, as opposed to the band's last couple of outings. In 1999 the Stones toured behind the No Security live album, while 2002's trek supported the Forty Licks greatest hits compilation, which featured just four new tracks. Mick Jagger told us that having 16 new songs to fit into the shows is a definite plus:

But as it gets out there you tend to play more. it's good to have something out there, definitely. I like that."

A Bigger Bang will be released on September 6th. It's the Stones' first album of all-new material since 1997's Bridges To Babylon.

The group performed on Friday, August 26th at Rentschler Field in Hartford, Connecticut.
