I think it's a great idea. We met some of the guys, but as far as, I can't really comment on it. I believe it's all happening, but I don't know enough to say anything about it except I'm looking forward to it, but I don't know if there's any glitches in the works." Super Bowl XL (40) takes place on February 5th in Detroit. There's no word yet on when the halftime entertainment will be announced.
Meanwhile, the Stones have signed a season-long deal with ABC, which is broadcasting the Super Bowl. The group's next concert, on Wednesday (August 31st) in Detroit, is being filmed, and portions will be used for the NFL Opening Kickoff 2005 pregame show on September 8th. The Stones will also be part of an ad campaign for ABC's Monday Night Football.
Their album, A Bigger Bang, comes out on September 6th. You can request the first singles "Rough Justice" and "Streets Of Love" if you have a Backstage Pass.
