Neil Young re-ups with Reprise
Neil Young has re-signed with Reprise Records after some reportedly tense negotiations. The multi-album deal will commence with the release of Young's latest album, Prairie Wind, on September 27th. It will also include his long-awaited archival series, which is expected to start rolling out next year. In a statement, the Canadian said: "I look forward to continuing my partnership with Reprise. We've been through a lot together over the years. When you're with a company that long, it's like a family."He began his solo career with Reprise in 1969 and has been with the label ever since, except for a 1983-88 stint with Geffen Records. That ended with Geffen suing Young for making what it considered to be uncommercial albums.
Young performed on Friday, August 19th in Nashville. The show was filmed by director Jonathan Demme for a yet-to-be-titled Paramount feature that's expected in theaters in 2006.
