Roger Daltrey teams up with McFly

Roger Daltrey has teamed up with the British pop group McFly on a version of the 1965 Who hit "My Generation." The track was cooked up for the launch of music retailer HMV's digital download service, and it will be exclusively from the hmv.co.uk website when the service goes live on Monday (September 5th) in the UK HMV digital boss Mark Bennett said, "One of the wonderful things about music is the way it spans all generations to bring fans together, whatever their age and background. 'My Generation' is, without doubt, an all-time classic...I can't think of a better iconic anthem for HMV's new download service as it reaches out to existing fans and a new generation of music buyers alike."

It's not the first time McFly have dipped into the Who catalogue -- the band has also done a version of "Pinball Wizard," and a portion of the video they made for the song is available at mcflyofficial.com.

Who leaders Daltrey and Pete Townshend will get together in February to plot the band's next move, which could include a new studio album and more touring.
