Rolling Stones opening night online

If you couldn't be in Boston for opening night of the Rolling Stones tour on Sunday (August 21st), the Stones are bringing part of the show to you. They've put two performances from the show online - one is the new song "Rough Justice," and the other is "Shattered" from the 1978 album Some Girls. Both videos are from the Stones concert at Fenway Park, which was the kickoff for their A Bigger Bang world tour. To watch the clips, go to music.yahoo.com.

Also at the site, you can listen to the song "Let Me Down Slow" from the A Bigger Bang album, which comes out September 6th. In addition, the Stones have launched a media player of their own at the official rollingstones.com Website that's got interview clips with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts, as well as the songs "Rough Justice," "Streets Of Love," "It Won't Take Long," and "This Place Is Empty," with Richards on lead vocals.

In related news, the Rolling Stones have announced a bunch of new opening acts. Motley Crue, reggae legends Toots & the Maytalls, blues hero Buddy Guy, country icon Merle Haggard, singer-songwriters Alanis Morissette and Jason Mraz, and the bands Wilco, Los Lonely Boys, and 54:40 will all support the Stones at upcoming shows. Other openers for the tour include Metallica, Pearl Jam, Trey Anastasio, Beck, Black Eyed Peas, the John Mayer Trio, Maroon5, Joss Stone, the Tragically Hip, and Our Lady Peace.

Tickets for the newly announced shows in Boston; New York City; Chicago; St. Louis; Omaha, Nebraska; Baltimore; and North Little Rock, Arkansas, go on sale on Saturday and Monday (August 27th and 29th). Check rollingstones.com for more information.
