Yes release live box set
Yes have released The Word Is Live, a three-CD concert set spanning 1978 to 1988. Only two of the 26 songs, 1970 versions of "Them" and "Everyone," have been previously released from the late John Peel's BBC program, with the rest coming from assorted concerts in the US and Europe. Frontman Jon Anderson told us that The Word Is Live was intended to document Yes' history as a concert act: [

If you think about it, there's not many bands that have stayed around for 35 years and kept performing pretty well, you know. I think there's a handful of groups that have stayed around for that long." The Word Is Live features Yes hits like "Roundabout," "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," "I've Seen All Good People," and "Yours Is No Disgrace," as well as "The Big Medley," which knits together six Yes songs.
The booklet accompanying The Word Is Live features an introduction by Greg Lake from Emerson, Lake And Palmer, as well as testimonials from Rush's Geddy Lee, John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, and others.
Yes are on hiatus this year. The scheduled More Drama tour, featuring four Yes members, was canceled due to immigration problems. Anderson will start an overseas tour on September 1st in Tel Aviv, Israel, while keyboardist Rick Wakeman begins a four-show Australian run on Saturday (August 27th).
