Bruce Springsteen to play for charity

Bruce Springsteen has never shied away from helping raise money for organizations he supports, and he'll do so again next week. He's announced a special show at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, New Jersey, for Tuesday (October 4th), which will be a fundraiser for the Jersey Coast chapter of the American Red Cross. Tickets are $100 each, with a limit of two per person, and they go on sale on Friday, September 30th. Because of the short turn-around time and to avoid scalping, tickets won't be mailed out - instead, everyone will have to show two forms of ID to pick up their tickets at the venue on the night of the show.

Springsteen's Devils & Dust tour officially resumes next Thursday (October 6th) at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.

On November 15th, The Boss will reissue his 1975 album Born To Run in a 30th anniversary package with a CD and two DVDs of rare archival material.
