New David Bowie best-of coming soon
David Bowie fans can celebrate the holidays with a new retrospective this year. He will release a three-CD set called Platinum Collection on November 8th, featuring 57 songs he recorded between 1969 and 1987. All of the material is previously released and includes big hits like "Space Oddity," "Changes," "Fame," "Let's Dance," and "China Girl," plus assorted album tracks and his live cover of Eddie Floyd's "Knock On Wood." The set also features Bowie's version of "All The Young Dudes," which he wrote for Mott The Hoople, and his rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City."The singer released another compilation, Best Of Bowie, in August of 2004.
He recently joined the Canadian band the Arcade Fire on stage at shows in London and New York City.
Bowie is working on material for a new album that's expected in 2006, but no details have been revealed yet.
