Pink Floyd tour possible

Pink Floyd reunited for Live 8 back in July, and another worthy cause might get them to do it again. That's the word from singer-bassist Roger Waters, whose Hyde Park performance with singer-guitarist David Gilmour, keyboardist Rick Wright, and drummer Nick Mason was the first for the band since 1981. He told the British magazine Word that "something with a political or charitable connection" might get Floyd back together, and he added, "I hope we do it again. It was more than good. If some other opportunity arose, I could even imagine us doing Dark Side Of The Moon again -- you know, if there was a special occasion. It would be good to hear it again."

The singer-bassist also said that even though he's had problems with Gilmour, Mason, and Wright in the past, he had a great time being with them again: "I was very moved to be on stage with Dave, Nick, and Rick that night. I felt at ease and glad to be given the opportunity to let bygones be bygones, and to demonstrate that, although we'd had our difficulties in the past, we are grown men who understand that rapprochement is possible even in the face of differing points of view. It was really good to transcend all the crap and say, 'Well, fuck it, let's just get up onstage. It's been a long while. We can agree to disagree about all of the old stuff and stand up here and play these three or four songs and it can be fun, it can be good.'"

Pink Floyd's reunion performance is included on the official Live8 DVD, which is due November 8th.

Waters, who will release his opera Ca Ira on September 27th, celebrated his 62nd birthday on Tuesday, September 6th.
