Robert Plant to join Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam will be joined by former Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant as part of the lineup of the band's Hurricane Katrina benefit, reports Reuters. The event, for which tickets are priced at $1,000, will take place on October 5th at the House Of Blues in Chicago. A spokesperson for the club said that four luxury boxes priced at $25,000 each have already been sold. Proceeds from the show will go to the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the Jazz Foundation of America and the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic, among other organizations.Pearl Jam are currently touring Canada until September 25th. The band will open for the Rolling Stones in Pittsburgh on September 28th, then play two shows in Atlantic City on September 30th and October 1st and one in Philadelphia on October 3rd. U2 singer Bono made a guest appearance Monday night (September 19th) at Pearl Jam's show in Toronto. He sang a cover of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World."
Plant is currently touring North America with his band, the Strange Sensation, and plays on Thursday, September 22nd, in Vancouver, Canada.
