Rolling Stones enjoy stadium concerts
The Rolling Stones continued their A Bigger Bang tour by playing at Detroit's major league baseball stadium, Comerica Park on Wednesday, August 31st. Ironically, the show was filmed for the NFL Opening Kickoff special that airs at 8:00 P.M. ET on September 8th in America. Mick Jagger told us that the baseball stadia are actually harder to play than the other venues where the Stones perform: [

It's harder to play, to be perfectly honest. (Playing) to a bowl is easier, like a soccer stadium or a gridiron football stadium. It's more compact, somehow. But you know, you get used to it." The Stones kicked off the tour in America's oldest baseball venue, Boston's Fenway Park.
In addition to the NFL Opening Kickoff show, they have signed a season-long deal to appear in ads for ABC's Monday Night Football. The group is rumored to be the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl XL in February, but that has not yet been confirmed.
Their new album, also titled A Bigger Bang, will be released Tuesday (September 6th). You can request the first singles "Rough Justice" and "Streets Of Love" if you have a Backstage Pass.
