Slipknot tour South America
Slipknot begin their first-ever South American tour on September 18th in Bogota, Colombia, and drummer Joey Jordison told us that the band can't wait to finally visit the continent: [
click here to listen if you have a Backstage Pass] "I've heard some pretty crazy stories about being down there, and the fans, and how rabid they are. We've been trying to get down there for a while. This is our third record, so since '99, people have been trying to pull us down there. And only now have we had the chance to be able to go down there, so we're really looking forward to that, so that should be pretty intense." Slipknot's South American trip will also take the group to Brazil, Venezuela, and Argentina.
The Iowa-based group will kick off a North American tour on October 14th in Cincinnati, Ohio. This will be the band's final run in support of its 2004 release, Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses).
The band recorded its recent shows in Singapore, Las Vegas, and the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Osaka for a live CD/DVD package that's due out on November 1st.
