Axl Rose one of coolest people alive

Reclusive Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has been voted one of the world's coolest "old people" in a new survey by Ellegirl magazine. The 43-year-old vocalist came in second on the list, behind the generic "grandparents." Rose was the youngest "old person" in the top ten, which included 75-year-old actor and director Clint Eastwood, 51-year-old rocker Elvis Costello, 47-year-old singer Madonna and 62-year-old Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, among others.

The Ellegirl poll, called "The Second Annual International Cool Survey," also listed survey results for several other categories, including "coolest couple," "coolest guy celeb," "coolest band," and "coolest person to be stuck in an elevator with."

The poll questioned 10,000 teenage girls worldwide, with 4,000 of them in the U.S.

The charismatic frontman has rarely been seen in public since Guns N' Roses halted their 2002 North American tour.

Guns N' Roses have not released any new music since the song "Oh My God" appeared on the soundtrack of the 1999 movie, End Of Days. There is still no release date for the band's long-delayed new album, Chinese Democracy.
