Ex wife of John Lennon talks

John Lennon's first wife Cynthia Lennon has published a new memoir about her life with the late Beatle, entitled John. In the book, she chronicles their relationship from their early days as students at the Liverpool College of Art, up through the birth of their son Julian, Beatlemania and Lennon's eventual relationship with second wife Yoko Ono. John and Cynthia were married from 1962 to 1968.

Lennon spoke to us and explained that, although she and John hardly split on the best of terms, there were many happy moments with him early on that she cherishes:
[ click here to listen if you have a Backstage Pass] "Obviously, we had really lovely times together. We had great holidays together, which was totally away from the media and everything else. We went on this holiday to Tahiti, which was absolutely superb, we actually relaxed and nobody knew about us - with Patti and George (Harrison). There were just occasions, there were definitely occasions of great happiness and joy."

On Thursday, October 6th, Cynthia will appear on Access Hollywood, as well as CNN Headline News: Showbiz Tonight. On Friday, she'll be appearing on ABC-TV's talk show The View. Check your local listings for stations and times.
