Green Day not interested in reviews
Green Day's award-winning and acclaimed American Idiot has received glowing reviews around the world, but don't ask the band about them. Bassist Mike Dirnt told us that when it completed recording the "punk rock opera," the trio made a pact not to read what was written about it: [

And to this day I haven't read any, whether it's Rolling Stone or any of that. I don't care what it is, I haven't read it, 'cause the day we finished this record, that feeling is the feeling I want to carry with me about this record the rest of my life. I know we felt good about it and we wanted to keep that." American Idiot has sold more than four million copies and won Best Rock Album at this year's Grammy Awards.
Green Day is up for two American Music Awards, for Best Rock Or Pop Group and Best Rock Or Pop Album.
The band will release a concert DVD on November 15th called Bullet In A Bible, which was filmed in June at the Milton Keynes Bowl in England.
The trio also just shot a video for the epic track, "Jesus Of Suburbia," which they will make available as both a nine-minute music-only clip and a 14-minute short film, according to MTV.com.
Green Day perform on Sunday (October 16th) in Nashville, Tennessee. The group wraps up its North American tour on Monday (October 17th) in Dayton, Ohio.
