Judas Priest: New album after holidays

Judas Priest plan to reconvene after the Christmas holidays to begin writing a new album, the follow-up to this year's comeback CD, Angel Of Retribution. Frontman Rob Halford told RecordOnline.com that the group never saw its reunion, in which he sang with them for the first time in 14 years, as a one-shot deal: "We don't want people to get the impression it's a grab-the-money-and-run thing. We missed making the metal together, and when we got back together, it was never for a quick fix. It was all about doing what was left to be done. There's more metal to make."

Priest are currently touring North America and perform on Tuesday night, October 11th, in Poughkeepsie, New York. After the trek wraps up on October 30th in California, the band will head to Russia and Eastern Europe.
