Keith Richards: Pirate role possible
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has been long-rumored to have signed on to play the father of Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow character, which Depp said he modeled after Richards, in sequels to the hit 2003 film, Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl. Richards told us it's something he hopes to do, but hasn't put in stone yet: [

We spent a hilarious afternoon dressing up as pirates. And the rest of it has to do with, basically, schedules - their shooting schedule and the Stones' tour schedule. It's all on if they can find a spot. I'd love to do it." The Stones currently have dates in North and South America booked into March of 2006, with tours of Europe, Australia, Japan, and other countries expected as well.
The Rolling Stones have more or less confirmed that they'll play the halftime show of Super Bowl XL on February 5th in Detroit, but no official announcement has been made yet.
The band performs on Wednesday night, October 12th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
