Rolling Stones to go as far as possible

The 33rd Annual American Music Awards have added the Rolling Stones to its roster of performers for the show, which will take place on November 22nd on ABC. The Stones will perform live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, a scheduled stop on their current North American tour. They are the oldest performers slated to appear on the show, but guitarist Keith Richards told us the band is in good shape and ready to roll as long as it can:

I mean, I have no answer except we'll go on trying to find out how far it can go."

The Rolling Stones will be joined on the AMA telecast by Mariah Carey, Rob Thomas and Kenny Chesney. More performers will be announced in the weeks ahead.

Carey is the top AMA nominee with four, followed by Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent and Green Day with three each. Cedric The Entertainer will host the show.

The Stones perform on Wednesday, October 19th, in Tampa, Florida.
