U2 joined by Bruce Springsteen on stage
U2 welcomed a couple of special guests to the stage in Philadelphia on Monday (October 17th) - Bruce Springsteen and his wife, E Street Band guitarist Patti Scialfa. In the past, the band usually asked for an audience member to join them on Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready," and when the song began, Bono said, "We need a guitar player," at which time The Boss walked on and Bono said, "Who is this man? Who is this man?". Bono then sang some custom-made lyrics in Springsteen's honor, and he changed the words up again later in the song as a way to bring Scialfa onto the stage. As the song ended, Bono and Scialfa walked offstage together as Springsteen and the Edge finished up, with Springsteen singing, "People get ready, there's a train to Jersey."The U2 frontman and Springsteen have been friends for years, and each man inducted the other into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
