Courtney Love working on new songs
Courtney Love is using her time in a California rehab facility to work on new music. The former Hole singer and sometime actress was sentenced in September to her current stint after violating her probation on drug possession charges. She told UK newspaper the Guardian, "I've had nothing but time in here. There's not a lot of activities. You have to make your own fun and my fun is my guitar so I'm down to it and I have to really question what it is I do for a living. Primarily I do two things: I act and I sing, and if I don't do those things well then I don't know what my objective is."Some new song titles include "'The Depths Of My Despair," "My Bedroom Walls" and "How Dirty Girls Get Clean."
Her last recording project was her 2004 debut solo album, America's Sweetheart.
Love has faced numerous legal and financial problems over the last two years, including multiple drug and assault charges, lawsuits and a custody battle over Frances Bean Cobain, her daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
