Queen + Rogers return to rock USA

Queen + Paul Rodgers only played two US concerts in 2005, but they're getting ready for a proper go-round. Rodgers, guitarist Brian May, and drummer Roger Taylor will do a full-on North American tour next spring, with an official announcement being made on Monday, November 28th.

Spending six weeks on US soil, the band will closely re-route its 1982 North American tour, bringing it back to the Queen-heartlands: Washington, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Portland, among other US cities, plus Canadian stops in Toronto and Vancouver, where the tour winds up on April 13, 2006.

Queen + Paul Rodgers toured Europe in the spring and early summer, then reconvened in October for a show in Aruba, followed by one each in New Jersey and southern California, before ending their tour with six gigs in Japan.

They released a live CD and DVD this year, both of which are titled Return Of The Champions.
