U2 reign as live act
After more than two decades, the Irish quarted is still one of the most popular and acclaimed concert attractions in the world. Guitarist The Edge told us that part of the key to U2's success as a live band is that it never allows itself to become too polished: [

And I think we still have a little bit of that in us." U2 were the top winners at the Billboard Roadwork '05 Touring Awards, held last week in New York City. The Irish quartet won four trophies for its Vertigo world tour, including Top Tour, Top Draw and Top Boxscore for three June shows at Croke Park in the band's home town of Dublin.
U2 play the first of a two-night run on Tuesday, November 1st, in Los Angeles.
Monday, October 31st, was drummer Larry Mullen Jr.'s 44th birthday.
