Joe Perry came out in May. It's his first solo album since 1984, when he was out of Aerosmith.
His competition in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance Category includes former Police drummer Stewart Copeland's "Birds Of Prey," Les Paul & Friends' "69 Freedom Special," Steve Vai's "Lotus Feet," and Adrian Belew's "Beat Box Guitar."
Aerosmith perform on Saturday, December 10th, in Chicago.
