Neil Young talks about guitar chills
Wanna know what gets Neil Young excited? As you might expect, performing is pretty high on the list. Young, who'll play on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, December 17th, told Esquire magazine, "Sometimes when I'm playing my guitar, I get to a point where it gets very cold and icy inside me. It's very refreshing. Every breath is like you're at the North Pole. Your head starts to freeze."He added, "Your inhalations are big - more air than you ever thought there is starts pouring in. There's something magical about it. Sometimes when it happens, you wonder if you're gonna be OK."
Young's new concert movie Prairie Wind will be released next year. He's also planning to tour.
He's been nominated for two Grammy Awards - Best Rock Album for Prairie Wind and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for the track "The Painter."
He will give the keynote speech at the annual South By Southwest music conference and festival in Austin, Texas, on March 16th.
