Queen guitarist gets Royal honour

Queen guitarist Brian May was honored at Buckingham Palace in London on Tuesday, December 6th. May was joined by his wife and son at a ceremony where he received his Commander Of The Order Of The British Empire (CBE) award. He was presented with a medal by Queen Elizabeth II, who referenced his roof-top performance of "God Save The Queen" at her 2002 jubilee celebration when she said, "It's a bit warmer down here than on the roof, isn't it?" The Queen also awarded British broadcaster Terry Wogan his honorary knighthood at the event.

May, drummer Roger Taylor, and vocalist Paul Rodgers have a North American tour scheduled for March and April 2006.
